How to Play

Goal: Reach 800 converts to satisfy your god!

Converts -  Convert citizens through influence. Each region only has 200 people you can convert.
Influence - Each turn regions gain converts equal to your influence

Wealth - Each turn gain money equal to wealth times converts in a region

Money - Use to commit impactful actions or avoid dangers

Notoriety - Gained as you commit actions. The more you have, the stronger the obstacles you'll face

After selecting an action, click on a region to use that action there and skip forward a certain amount of days. Different actions skip different amount of days. You'll still accrue resources during those days but the chance of an obstacle occurring might increase.

This game looks fantastic - the art and style of the game is cohesive, and just beautiful. The music is also great!

The rules took a bit of getting used to, but in my opinion a single readthrough of the rules and some fiddling about in the first few days was enough for me to understand - despite being rather straightforward, they are a bit intimidating at first. Maybe an interactive tutorial would make learning the game a bit easier to approach?

A short play by play of my strategy, was basically just to preach (because it's free) until I had enough money to fake miracles for influence. Using this strategy and simply choosing "kill" any time I was threatened, I was able to beat the game by just a small margin.

All in all, I like it! Great work.

The level of detail in art here is really commendable. I love the vibe this game is putting off. I will admit I didn't spend much time reading the instructions, because I'm a lazy dev, and I couldn't quite grok how to strategize while playing. The action you select would benefit from showing all of the modifiers at once, and maybe ignoring the ones that have zero effect. This sort of game probably would benefit from slowly introducing concepts as you go along. Still though, I love what I see here.

Thank you for the feedback, this was definitely a learning experience on UI Design and overall mechanic introduction. I like how mention that the game would benefit if the concepts were slowly introduced and I agree. I will remember this for next time!

Pretty neat short game and good pixel art! A bit confused at first since I just jumped straight into the game before reading the control first but overall it took me few runs before I managed to win it

Thank you so much! 😄

Thank you for putting in the effort into beating it :^]
